Blog #4

     The language used in the two website we explored surprised me a bit. You never really see articles like that in mainstream media. I think this is because there is a clear stance that some of these articles take and the mainstream media tends to be passively biased instead of outright saying what they mean. For example, in one of the posts on ANTIWAR.com, it says that Trump loosened the rules of engagement and he dropped a record number of bombs on Somalia. You would never see this type of language used on a mainstream media sight because it is too jarring, even if it is true. 

    I have never heard of these websites and that is probably because they are not pushed or mentioned by other media sources. They are left to be forgotten. I think that you have to go to these obscure websites to read anti war articles because the media does not take an anti war approach because it is profitable for them if there is war. As long as there is war, there will be articles to write, and there will be money to be made on other people's sacrifices.
